Theory: Is there a relationship b/t resistant E.coli in gut flora and amonia blood levels in hepatic encphalopathy?

Somewhere I’ve read that there may be more sychrony between the liver and gut flora than we’ve realized before. With the gut flora playing a more important part in digestion than

the liver.
